I’m a designer and illustrator based in Vancouver, British Columbia. There’s nothing I love more than creating visual experiences that evoke emotion, inspire action, or make people think.
As an illustrator, I switch seamlessly between traditional and digital illustration and enjoy experimenting with a wide range of styles. As a designer, I’ve done everything from branding and website design, to book and exhibit design. A problem-solver by nature, I’m comfortable wearing multiple hats — art director, lead designer, project manager — whatever it takes to get things right.
Originally from Guatemala, I moved to North Vancouver when I was 7. I started drawing and painting at an early age, and was lucky enough to attend a school where my skills were encouraged. When I discovered graphic design after high school, I knew I’d found my calling. I graduated from Capilano University with a diploma in Illustration and Applied Arts (IDEA Program) in 2004, and I’ve been working as an illustrator and designer ever since.
When I’m not illustrating or designing, I’m most likely spending time with my husband and kids, or dreaming up a new pet project.
